Online Audio Merger and Concatenation Tool With Crossfade
Combining multiple audio files into a single continuous track is a common task for podcast producers, musicians, audiobook creators, and sound designers. Our browser-based audio merger handles sequential concatenation and smooth crossfade transitions entirely client-side using FFmpeg WebAssembly.
You can merge files of different formats — for example, combine MP3 and WAV segments — and the tool normalizes them to a consistent output format. Files are joined in the order you arrange them, and you can drag to reorder before merging. The crossfade setting creates smooth "mix" transitions between segments by overlapping the tail of one file with the head of the next, blending volumes for a natural join.
This tool is ideal for podcast episode compilation, musical album sequencing, assembling audiobooks from chapter recordings, or building ambient soundscapes from separate sound effect layers. Because everything runs in your browser with no server round-trip, you can merge files of significant size without upload delays or bandwidth constraints.
Crossfade Transitions Between Merged Audio Segments
The audio merger supports configurable crossfade duration between segments. When crossfade is enabled, the end of each audio segment is mixed with the beginning of the next over a user-defined duration (e.g., 2 seconds). This eliminates abrupt cuts between tracks, producing professional-sounding transitions ideal for podcast chapters, DJ sets, ambient music, and audiobook parts. Without crossfade, the merger performs a clean, gapless sequential join preserving original dynamics.
Podcast Episode Compilation
Join intro music, interview segments, ad slots, and outro tracks into a single polished podcast episode without a full DAW setup.
Album and Playlist Sequencing
Concatenate individual song files into a gapless album master file, with crossfade transitions between tracks for a continuous listening experience.
Audiobook Chapter Assembly
Merge separately recorded chapter audio files into a single audiobook file for distribution on Audible, ACX, or podcast platforms.
- 1
Add Audio Files
Click Add Files or drag and drop multiple audio files into the merge panel. Supported formats include MP3, WAV, OGG, AAC, FLAC, and M4A. Files are listed in merge order.
- 2
Arrange Order and Set Crossfade
Drag the listed files to your desired merge sequence. Optionally enable crossfade and set the transition duration in seconds to blend the end of each segment into the beginning of the next.
- 3
Merge and Download
Click Merge. FFmpeg WASM concatenates the files in sequence, applying crossfade if enabled, and produces a single output file ready for immediate download.
Sequential Concatenation
Join any number of audio files in a user-defined order to produce a single continuous output file with gapless playback.
Crossfade Transition Support
Enable smooth volume crossfades between segments with configurable duration for professional-sounding joins between tracks.
Mixed Format Input
Merge files of different formats (e.g., MP3 + WAV + OGG) and output to a consistent format. The tool normalizes sample rates and channels automatically.
Drag-to-Reorder UI
Rearrange the merge sequence by dragging file entries before merging — no re-importing needed if you change your mind about the order.
