About

Video Watermark Tool — Add Text or Image Overlay to Video

Watermarking video is essential for protecting intellectual property, branding marketing content, and establishing authorship of original footage. This browser-based video watermark tool lets you overlay a custom text or image on any video file, with full control over position, transparency, and styling — all processed entirely in your browser using FFmpeg-WASM.

For text watermarks, you can specify the text content, font size, color, and corner position (top-left, top-right, bottom-left, bottom-right, or center). Opacity control lets you create a subtle semi-transparent watermark that doesn't distract from the content or a more prominent opaque branding mark. For image watermarks, upload a logo PNG with an alpha transparency channel and position it precisely in any corner or center of the video frame.

Because the watermarking is performed by FFmpeg-WASM running in your browser, the video file never leaves your device. This is particularly important for confidential footage, unreleased content, or client work that should not be uploaded to third-party servers. The output video retains the original resolution and frame rate, with the watermark filter applied during re-encoding.

Common Use Cases for Video Watermark Tool
1

Branding Social Media Videos

Add your channel name, website URL, or logo to videos before posting on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, or LinkedIn so viewers can identify and credit your content.

2

Protecting Copyright on Video Footage

Apply a semi-transparent copyright watermark to original video content before sharing previews with clients or distributing on public platforms.

3

Adding Client Branding to Deliverables

Overlay a client's logo on promotional or corporate video deliverables to produce branded assets ready for their marketing use.

How to Use
  1. 1

    Upload Your Video

Upload the MP4, WebM, or MOV video you want to watermark. All processing happens locally in your browser via FFmpeg-WASM — the file is never sent to a server.

  2. 2

    Choose Text or Image Watermark

Select text watermark and enter your custom text (e.g., your channel name or URL), or select image watermark and upload a PNG logo with transparency.

  3. 3

    Set Position and Opacity

Choose the corner or center position for the watermark and set the opacity percentage. A value of 50–70% opacity produces a visible but non-intrusive watermark overlay.

  4. 4

    Apply Watermark and Download

Click Apply Watermark. FFmpeg-WASM encodes the video with the overlay filter applied. Download the watermarked video when processing completes.

Features
  • Text and Image Watermark Support

Add custom text overlays with adjustable font size and color, or position a PNG logo image with alpha transparency anywhere on the video frame.

  • Flexible Corner and Center Positioning

Place the watermark in any of the four corners or at the center of the frame. Padding offset controls keep the watermark a consistent distance from the edges.

  • Opacity / Transparency Control

Set watermark opacity from fully transparent to fully opaque to achieve a subtle branding mark or a prominent watermark depending on your intent.

  • Private Browser-Based Encoding

FFmpeg-WASM applies the watermark filter and re-encodes the video entirely in your browser. No video data is ever uploaded to any external server.
